The COVID-19 pandemic is far from over, yet to save our respective national economies and household incomes, we have braced ourselves to leave the safety of our houses and face the challenge of corona virus, even as the positive cases are rising and the chances of infection increasing.

All global economic reports have been hurling at us one gloomy scenario after other, while the few forthcoming years look quite full of struggles.

Alright!

So, it’s time to evolve for the next levels of resilience, focus, immunity, strategies and a changed world.

Life without challenges loses half of its meaning. Constant endeavours towards betterment are the main cause, means and outcome of evolution. In the absence of challenges, all living things – including humans – would gradually be rendered devoid of first the spirit to fight & change, and then the soul itself.

I’m sure most humans would come out of this global pandemic as better humans with sorted lives, having eliminated innumerable negative practices, traits, thoughts and emotions that had subconsciously become a part of their stressful and unnecessarily competitive lives.

All negatives must transform into positives with the passage of time, if we keep moving forward one step at a time.

That’s what most successful people do. On the world canvas, a vast number of such people have painted their vision, and we have made a sincere effort to bring to you their highly inspiring stories in our July issue, highlighting how individual efforts transform into great combined forces of positivity.

Alone each one of us have moved mountains and won professional & personal battles, together we can create a better future for the world!

In this issue, we bring to you International Monetary Fund’s analysis and report that the global economy will take a $12 trillion hit from the COVID-19 pandemic.

United Nations also adds to the analysis as it declares that land degradation, wildlife exploitation, intensive farming and climate change are driving the rise in diseases that, like the coronavirus, are passed from animals to humans.

We have also covered the incident where President Donald Trump has formally moved to withdraw the US from the World Health Organization.

While we have been discussing the global economic impact of COVID-19 pandemic, World Bank has confirmed that it has already brought the deepest recession since World War II.

And, finally, World Economic Forum has reported that worldwide remittances could fall by $100 billion because of COVID-19.

In the midst of multiple news that there are challenges ahead, we continue to bring to you extraordinary stories of exceptional nation builders from around the world, who have never ceased to spread positivity.

Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways and Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India has asserted that Government’s focus on infrastructure will create jobs and revive economy.

Her Excellency Ms. Fathiaa Abdalla, Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Kenya has dedicated her life towards finding and implementing durable solutions for refugees.
